Super SHABBY CHIC vintage meat safe, recently rescued from a victorian house in Wales which was undergoing kitchen refit and sadly this lovely item had been removed.....
I have since lovingly restored it and repainted it in Farrow & Balls NEW WHITE which is a delicate off white creamy colour,,,,,,has then been rubbed back here and there for the all important shabby chic look.
At some point the original zinc sides have been replaced with solid sides but still has its original zinc metal door....has white ceramic knob and original turn fastener
The sides and back has been lined with some delightful french toile wallpaper in a cream and raspberry country scene
In all round great vintage condition....a few nibbles here and there which in my opinion all add to its vintage charm but please do not purchase if this look is not for you
This piece was originally wall hung and would be easy to fix new hooks if you wish to hang again or could be left free standing upon a dresser base or worktop
inside has been lined with a super french vintage wallpaper
the original zinc mesh door has been left untouched
super place to store your herbs, spices or such or just as easily could be used in a bathroom or such to store towels.....
